Wasira is the first wife of the local Sheikh. She has been visiting the clinic regularly to treat her high blood pressure. Ive been coming to the clinic for more or less a year, the service is good here. The doctor made some adjustments and now I use a medication that makes me feel far better than the one I used back at home. Many of my relatives and family come too. Wasira complains about the difficulties of spending a second winter in an unfinished building. We build these houses ourselves with cement brick, even the women and children helped and in one month they were up. Now the biggest problem is water, she says. We get the water from the canal, they truck it all the way here but its not drinkable, it needs treating. Some people died on account of the water. And then of course there is no electricity. But at least here we are safe.
